Spalicious

After my ordeal of yesterday, being sick and drinking way too much sinus medication, I decided to treat my credit card to a spa treatment – seeing that I work 8-5 and I needed a pick-me-up today, I decided to make use of one of the many city-spas available to us:

Where to go, what to do…

My criteria was quite extensive and my standards quite high, but my time limited so I needed to make a fast, but informed, decision:

I norrowed the criteria down to these:

#1 – Variety of treatments
#2 – Peacful surroundings
#3 – Affordable, but not skimping on quality

I then jumped onto my explorer and surfed my way through the spas until I found the perfect one – well on paper at least!

I opted for the Michelangelo Hydro in Sandton Square, oops Nelson Mandela Square (I keep forgetting), as it met two of the criteria on my list – it may be a bit expensive, but on the upside, I am right next to a million shops, which promises to make my day even more perfect.

It is a must try! If you have never been to a spa before or if you are a bit of a spa-slut like me, this one massaged my stressed out limbs to highs I can’t describe (and I opted for the cheapest back and neck massage – think what the expensive ones will do).

You will be on cloud 11 , fast on your way to cloud 12, and you will never want to leave – I was contemplating asking for a job there, just so I could make use of staff-discounts, but then remembered that I don’t like touching other people’s icky parts – well there goes that idea.

All jokes aside – give it a try – it is a lunchtime treat you will savour for long after, but won’t sit on the hips – au contraire.

Just keep in mind that you credit card may also need a massage after…
